I mentioned not two days ago that I had had the fortune to see a film by the name of "Ladies in Lavender", a gem that I am here recommending as a must see. A must see not only because of the performances by Dames Maggie Smith and Judi Dench but because it is a series of Still Lifes, the photography is exquisite. Add to that the English countryside and beaches, small town companionship and values, cottages, bicycles and beginning-of -the- century cars, a humourous cook, and costumes designed to perfection, especially Maggie's and Judi's hats for special outings. But...what a story, centered around a young violinist. So you have guessed? It'sthe music that just hypnotizes throughout as well as a love story beyond age. I LOVED IT! Please see it and thank the stars for such a perfect film.
