Blue Shelfie

so, while i'm in the house mode, spring cleaning and moving things about, might as well go all out and leave a record of how things looked around may of 2014.  

or should i say, how i made it look.  because the truth is all these things get shifted around alot.  

the enamelware, as you might recall, was originally on a shelf above my table in my art studio.  much of the jug collection remains there but i love how the blue enamelware looks inside this old grundgy

cabinet.

i started my collection about 4 years ago.  enamelware is expensive and hard to find so one piece at a time has been added., mostly old coffee and teapots and one ice bucket.

 i love how it contrasts with that pale pink of the cecile brunner roses and how it goes with the pink garland on the enamel cannister on the left.  i have bid and lost many a time on ebay for the matching coffeepot and utensil holder.

my favorite blueish color that my family is growing tired of is just about in every room in the house and extends to the garden since i fell in love with sissinghurst.

queriendo darles el resultado de quien le achunto a lo primero que le voy a hacer a mi vivero.

pero la verdad de la verdad, muy pocas comentaron o leyeron de lo que se trataba el post

y nadie le achunto.  quizas porque lo que yo visualice era un poco dificil de adivinar.

aun no esta del todo listo y hemos seguido vaciandolo, botando todo salvo las herramientas.

aprovechando de darle unos toques adicionales a las areas alrededor de la piscina.

el trabajo avanza lentamente ya que como buen verano, nos lo hemos pasado mas en la playa y la piscina

ademas de terminar todas esas peguitas inconclusas en la larga lista de cosas inconclusas

 y mucho tiempo en el jardin

pero como nadie gano premio esta vez, prometo hacer otro sorteo en que la adivinanza sea mas facil

y de paso contarles y mostrarles lo primero que le hicimos al vivero.

my great grandfather, tata alfredo,was an antiquarian in the style of the old curiosity shop. my other great-grandfather, tata enrique, was a philatelist. so you know where i get my genes from. i must have inherited their genes because antiques are my passion and i have actually begun to distinguish them, call them by name and every day learn more and more about their origins.  and although i have set up shop, i always tend to keep the things i set out to sell as a modern-day antiques peddler.  beauty is hard to part with.  so this enamelware will be very very hard to let go of when the time comes to list, especially since it so rare in this color and with the roses.  blessing or curse?  BLESSING by all means.  what do u think of my little antique dolly?  her body is all made of wood.

must run now 'cause "Dolly" is tired from all the posing and needs to take a siesta.  i'll tell you all about the dreams she whispered.

A PROPOSITO DE TIENDAS, AL FIN CON TIEMPO Y ENERGIA PARA PONER ALGUNAS COSILLAS EN MI TIENDITA VIRTUAL PARA LA VENTA.  URGETEANDO ENTRE LAS COSAS QUE HEREDE DE MI MAMI Y TAMBIEN CACHUREANDO POR SANTIAGO ME HE ENCONTRADO CON MUCHISIMAS COSAS ENTRETES PARA  LA VENTA.  EN  ESTO ME TENDRE QUE MANTENER ENTRETENIDA POR UNAS SEMANAS MAS YA QUE AL PARECER SE VENDIO EL DEPARTAMENTO Y HAY QUE ESPERAR PAPELEOS. Ya me he visto todas las peliculas y documentalesn habidos y por haber en Film & Arts, leido tres libros, cocinado mas manzanas al jugo de las que puedo comer y molestado a mis amigas hasta sentirme culpable asi es que a inventar dias enteros solita.  Por suerte me queda  todo cerca, y me sobra imaginacion lo que me hace pensar me voy al parque arauco a costuritas.  ay mejor no.
