hints of autumn


my son says i am haunted by the same face.  it strikes me as an interesting comment.  i began looking at others artist's work and noticed his comment was pretty accurate.  but why? maybe an inner search for an alter ego, maybe a secret voice calling, maybe a guardian angel image as i sleep, but it is true i tend to create similar faces, not quite adult looking, still with a hint of innocence.
i am linking today to a fascinating challenge  at 29 Faces Challenge
i have already found some very interesting new artists.

looking back, i think i've already painted 29 faces, but since most of them have flown to new homes, it doesn't feel like it.  they are no longer with me and once in a while i need to look back on them and wonder...did i really paint them?
