round and around applique pillow

playing with acrylics

two mixed media fabric dresses

a bit of collage for yet another altered book

and my favorite: this leather necklace made based on the series "game of thrones"
it has a small vial bottle with  the quote inside

The Young May Moon
The young May moon is beaming, love,
The glow-worm's lamp is gleaming, love;
How sweet to rove
Through Morna's grove,
While the drowsy world is dreaming, love!
Then awake! -- the heavens look bright, my dear,
Tis never too late for delight, my dear;
And the best of all ways
To lengthen our days
Is to steal a few hours from the night, my dear!

South American Getaway

never ever did I imagine guanajuato and san miguel de allende would be as beautiful as they have turned out to be. they have been visual delights. it is hard to believe that every street is cobblestone. every direction that you look...up, down, to the sides and even in between the cracks there is beauty. historical beauty. no wonder they have been declared world heritages. four days into the trip I have already taken over 300 photographs, especially of doors and windows. every building has balconies of wrought iron with potted geraniums and tiled stairways up narrow passageways. so walking around both cities is the only way to go. my daughter and i have spent hours out of the days walking every street and alley, up, down and around, trying to take it all in in the eight days we will have here.

but it is HOT! hot, hot, hot so we carry large bottles of frozen water with us to sprinkle on our faces if it gets unmaneageable.  it is so nice to re-live the south american custom of walking the streets, to see thousands of people everywhere from all walks of life, to pop in and out of little shops for icecream, bread, pharmaceuticals.

and there is ART everywhere and lots of antiques.

tatiana & i wnet evrywhere, literally.  with a small map of the streets we navigated around the whole downtown area of san miguel visiting every art gallery available and even went to the local market called tianguis on our last tuesday.

in, between

inbetween the wanting and the needing and the wishing and the dreaming, inbetween the vigil and the daybreak and the mirror-whispering ghosts of the morrow, inbetween the rituals and the faceless feasts, the unanswered calls and the hollow halls of delusion, inbetween the heartbeats and the deep breaths, inbetween the willingness and the pulling back, and the ne’er dieing pecking wounds, there, in the inbetweens, i am actually able
